The Water-Energy Hub (WE!Hub) project in Kenya is a cooperation of international partners and supporters, aiming at improving the livelihood of local communities by providing access to sustainable, environmental friendly and affordable off-grid energy services, such as light, potable water and communication.

About the project

The project’s overall objective is to provide rural areas with affordable and environmental friendly off-grid energy as well as clean drinking water, while coevally opening the chance for employment, entrepreneurship and education.     Read more…

 

Beneficiaries

 The project aims to reach poor people in remote communities without access to affordable energy and clean drinking water. Each Hub can serve around 1,000 households, especially targeting fishermen, domestic users and shop-keepers.     Read more…

 

The WE!Hub

By implementing solar energy technologies, the WE!Hub offers clean off-grid energy and pure drinking water for rural areas in Kenya and is coevally a chance for employment, income generation and training center for the local communities.    Read more…
